Zach Dotson, along with his wife Wilma and three children (Archie, Jayne and Caspar) will be with us for eight weeks from October 15. Zach will be assisting in ministry during this time as part of the Synod placement scheme. They are currently in Ulverstone, Tasmania.
There is a Psalmody Day tentatively set for Saturday 30th September. We will be hosting it here in Maclean, with people from the Wauchope and Brisbane congregations joining us. It will be a wonderful time to gather together and learn tunes and part-singing as we worship the Lord in Psalm singing.
A Preparatory Service will be held in the morning of the 20th August.
On 27th August we hope to celebrate the Lord’s Supper in the morning service at 10am. Directly following the morning service, there will be a lunch in the hall. The afternoon service will be brought forward to immediately after lunch (around 1/1:15pm) for a Thanksgiving Service.
Please join us after the morning service today for our monthly congregational lunch. There will be no September lunch as we will be bringing it forward one week for the Lord’s Supper.
The next monthly Church lunch will take place on 4th June following the morning service. Please bring a plate of food to share.
Mini Camp for all the kids under 15 (and their parents) is scheduled for 3-5 July at the farm of John and Judy Greensill. Please take a flyer at the front of the church with all the details.
Synod this year went as smoothly as could be expected. Delegates from sister church denominations in US, Scotland, India, Ireland and Australia were present or sent online greetings. Minutes will be available soon for any who are interested in the business discussed. Synod will be held in Raymond Terrace again next year, and will move on to another congregation in 2025.
